The Sport Hawk Mk IV was designed to add a new dimension to ducted fan flying: easy to build, very fast, highly aerobatic, yet economical. Once you reach cruising speed you can perform almost any pattern maneuver (loops, loop with avalanche, knife edges, Cuban eighths and point rolls to name a few). Flying from a grass field, no problem. The Hawk MK IV has a 100 foot takeoff roll off hard surface and 125 feet from grass. With a top speed over 150 mph using any five-inch fan, this aircraft will make you a standout at any flying field.
The epoxy fiberglass fuselage, engine hatch and intake come pre-primed for fast building and easy finishing. The wings are sheeted with landing gear block installed, wheel well foam area removed and the aileron foam compartment removed. Plug-in wings are removable for easy transportation and storage. Uses any retracts or our world famous Centurions with 3/8 inch stainless steel with functional oleo struts.
We offer three kits: a basic kit with fuselage, sheeted foam wings, foam horizontal stabs, plug-in spars, instruction, plans, canopy, fiberglass engine hatch, intake, and two piece exhaust tube. A deluxe kit includes the above items plus laser cut plywood parts, fuel tanks, wood package, accessory package, plus much more.
