Designed to sit on the gear in approximately three hours. By any standard, this kit is the fastest built Corsair kits on the market and comes with multiple options to fit the builder’s needs and pocket book.
The Master basic kit comes with a primed epoxy fiberglass fuselage. The fuselage is laid up using layers of fiberglass cloth material. The removable, center gull section comes primed and designed for easy outer wing panel installation using two aluminum spars in each wing panel. The standard cowl diameter at the rear of the cowl is 11 3/8” diameter. We had a request of a customer to enlarge the cowl diameter. Both cowls are 8 ¾” long but the larger diameter cowl is 11 ¾” at the rear. The first question that should be, “ if the scale cowl is 11 3/8” diameter, how did you get away using a cowl with 11 ¾” diameter?” How we did it is to permanently extend the cowl flaps to the extended position. Unfortunately, you can’t use the functional cowl flap system but you can install a larger engine.
If you are going to install a large engine, you have a 11 3/8” firewall. The cowl comes with the cowl flaps extended. Also included are composite outer wings, composite horizontals stab, and fiberglass flight controls including 6 flaps, ailerons, rudder, and elevators. All 6 gear doors are also included, the wood package, canopy, instructions, picture brochure, and plans. Optional CJM giant main landing gear with 3/4” diameter oleo struts, retractable tail wheel, scale exhaust stacks, cockpit, pilot, and scale functional cowl flaps are available.
