These are special landing gear designed especially for the Navy A-7 option. It takes 3 hours plus material to make the nose gear components. During the design phase, there was no photos of the landing gear from inside the wheel well. On a trip to New York City, I went to the Carrier Intrepid and was allowed to climb over the ropes and climb inside the wheel well. I then saw how the real plane landing gear operated and replicated that operation to our A-7. We use our 1/5 scale nose and main gear mechanism. We then add “scale” Air Force struts. We are the only company whose landing gear operates in a scale manner. Century Jet has expanded its options to include air and electric retract systems.
Century Jet has expanded its options to include either air or electric retract systems. Please select from the choices below to complete your retract system. Select the Deluxe 4 Way Valve for realistic air operations which provide the modeler infinite speed adjustments. If you elected to use electric retracts, you can upgrade to our Deluxe Controller which provides electronic door sequencer with selectable door open or door close modes when the gear are down plus 1 or 2 landing lights.
