A basic F-104 kit comes with a 2 piece fiberglass fuselage, sheeted wings, plug in spar mechanism, horizontal stab, stab mechanism, tip tanks, canopy, plans, instructions plus numerous option packages.
On this 1/7th scale F-104 the fuselage is constructed using epoxy fiberglass, comes pre-primed, with pre-molded engine hatch and cockpit. Panel lines are in the fuselage. Full flying stab adds realism to this famous aircraft.
Any 5 inch fan powered by a .91 engine or larger is recommended. Computer designed, high lift airfoil foam wings come pre-sheeted. Our heavy-duty plug-in wing spar system ensures minimal building time. Flaps are recommended due to the high performance flight characteristics and realistic final approach speeds Centurion F-104 retracts with stainless steel struts with functional oleo struts are suggested due to the scale location of the retracts.
To open and close the landing gear doors, we offer an optional door kit for both the semi-kit and deluxe kits. The F-104 detachable tip tanks are standard items in our basic and deluxe kits. Due to the sleek, low profile of the F-104, tip tanks are highly recommended.
